Leopard 1A5 Main Battle Tank

State of the art German Post War Tank Technology

Model: Leopard 1A1 Country of Origin: Germany Crew: 4 (commander, gunner, loader, driver) Combat Weight: 46 ton, Engine: MTU 830 bhp (619 KW) multi-fuel V-10 diesel. The Leopard 1A5 is a fast, well-armed main battle tank. It was not as heavily armored as some of its brethren, such as the British Chieftain or American M60 series, but it was faster and more maneuverable.

This Leopard 1 A5 was the final and most advance version of the Leopard 1 family. This version had an integrated fire control system consisting of a commander’s stabilized panoramic telescope and a gunner’s primary sight with a stereoscopic rangefinder. It had a fully-stabilized main gun and ballistic computer, and thermal sights.

While the Leopard 1A5 is still used today by many NATO members around the world.

The most important consideration with this tank is that it is already here in the United States and the main gun is de-milled to U.S. standards. The hull and turret have not been cut, making this a very rare tank compared to the additional European hull and turret cutting/de-mil standards found in virtually all other leopards residing overseas. The tank will be delivered in full running order.
